Rockshaft #5117187 is part of your machine's 3-point hitch system. It's responsible for raising and lowering rear implements like mowers, plows and backhoes. This heavy-duty, elongated shaft is situated at the back of the machine, connected to two lift arms that, in turn, are attached to the 3-point hitch arms.

Additionally, the rockshaft is linked to the hydraulic system, which supplies the power necessary to move the rear implements. When the hydraulic system applies pressure to the rockshaft, it rotates, causing the lift arms and attached implements to rise. Conversely, to lower the rear implements, the hydraulic system releases pressure from the rockshaft, allowing it to rotate in the opposite direction and lowering the lift arms and attached implements.
