Lubricants engineered precisely for Case IH equipment
Genuine Case IH Lubricants are precision engineered and rigorously tested to meet the demands and standards of Case IH equipment and their owners.
Our engineers created a proprietary system that sets internal technical standards with tighter tolerances than typical lubricant specifications. Using these standards, all Case IH Lubricants are formulated to ensure longer component life, advanced protection and superior performance you can count on, saving you time and money. When it comes to engine oils, that means extended drainage intervals. Competitor engine oils that don’t meet our standards can cut those drainage intervals by up to 50%*, making them a costly decision.
*Based on engine oil comparisons only.

Buy in Bulk
With our Small Bulk Oil Program, you can work with your dealer to receive large quantities of Case IH No.1 Engine Oil to your own farm’s storage tank, eliminating the need for individual containers. This service is only available at select dealers. Please check with your dealer to see if they offer the Small Bulk Oil Program.
Frequently Asked Questions
Drain intervals are affected by multiple factors, including lubricant sump size, intensity of operation, operating temperature, lubricant product, etc. Oil drain intervals are determined by Case IH Platform Engineers taking all these factors into account. Only Case IH Lubricants have been engineered/tested/approved to maximize the drain interval for your machine. Consult your machine operator’s manual for guidance.
Lubricants are a complex blend of base oils and additives. Only Case IH Lubricants have been engineered/tested/approved to ensure performance in your Case IH machine. Our engineered formulations maximize your drain interval and your component life. Consult your machine operator’s manual for guidance.
Depending on the application and product, it is possible for the viscosity of lubricants to change slightly over the course of the recommended drain interval, but typically the viscosity will stay within a narrow range. Shear thinning and/or fuel dilution are a couple items that could cause a lubricant’s viscosity to drop over time. On the other hand, soot loading and/or oxidation are two factors that can cause lubricants to increase in viscosity over time. Routine oil analysis by a reputable program like Systemgard™ Fluid Analysis can be used to help understand the current condition of your oil within a specific component of your machine.
A lubricant is unable to perform unless it can physically get to where it is needed. Colder temperatures lead to higher viscosities (thickening of oil), which can impede flow to critical components. One primary solution to this is the use of synthetic products. Please see the Case IH Part Stories for low temperature options and a comparison of properties. As an example, a full synthetic 0W-40 engine oil would have better cold flow characteristics than a 15W-40 and would continue to provide the necessary protection at operating temperature.
The Small Bulk Oil Program is not only an opportunity to reduce your overall fluid cost, but it is also a way to simplify storage, handling and labor. Please work with your local Case IH dealer to determine whether this is a good fit for you.
If the oil is being delivered by the third party on behalf of a Case IH dealer as part of the Small Bulk Oil Program, then yes, it is the same.
